The military lifestyle is a curious thing. You learn how to form friendships quickly and celebrate their milestone and accomplishments as if you have known them for years. This is one of those cases. I met the lovely Erika less than a year ago, in September while we were both working with a community theater group. Fast forward to 8am on Memorial Day, I show up to her home and the hair and makeup crew is already hard at work, the maid of honor is transferring her speech to index cards and the kettle is on and prepping copious amounts of tea (because it's England and that's just what we do.)
Once all the ladies, except the bride were beautifully made up, we headed over to the ceremony and reception venue. The Old Hall Ely is an absolutely hands the most perfect English wedding location. This renovated Jacobean manor house is now a 5 star B&B and exclusive use venue, and you guys....it's stunning.
I arrived before the bridal party and was able to get a sneak peek of the marquee and the hidden dance floor. The simplicity of the decor plus the natural beauty of the space was only enhanced by the homemade centerpieces and truly elegant floral arrangements by Wildwood Floral Events.
Anyway let me stop my rambling and simply show you the magic that happened that day.
